Active Orthopaedic is owned and operated by Adam Janke, Certified Pedorthist. We have offices in the downtown business district and on the North Shore.

I graduated on the Dean’s List from the University of Western Ontario with an Honors Kinesiology degree, prior to beginning the two-year clinical residency program that is required to become a fully Certified Pedorthist, C Ped (C). I have worked and consulted in clinics in Ottawa, rural Ontario, Toronto, and Vancouver and been exposed to a wide variety of clinical methods and treatment protocols.

As a Canadian Board Certified Pedorthist, C Ped (C), I specialize in assessing lower-limb skeletal alignment, movement patterns, general foot function and how the feet interact with the rest of the body. From an assessment of these factors I determine a person’s need for custom foot orthotics, custom or therapeutic bracing products, specialized or individually specific footwear, soft-tissue management and referral to other health practitioners where necessary. I am an avid runner focusing primarily on trail-related events (my most recent race was an ultramarathon just outside Seattle, WA). I specialize in Sports Pedorthics and work closely with many endurance athletes and weekend warriors in most sports from across BC.
